Pittsburgh developer eyes first project in Buffalo

A trio of vacant lots along E. Delavan Avenue are being eyed by a Pittsburgh company for its first project in Buffalo, New York.R. Kyndall Development Group is working withBuffalo officials on plans to build a three-story,13,000-square-foot building at 647 to 651 E.Delavan. R. Kyndall has not yet purchased the lots, city officials said. The project has a $4 million price tag.

Plans call for the building to be anchored by 14apartments — six of which are be targeted for the affordable housing market; two for special needs residents; and the remaining six would be traditional market rate units. Also proposed is a street-level restaurant space, some office space and a community meeting room. The restaurant may be offered, for rent, to a local food truck operator who wants a brick-and-mortar site.

Pending various Buffalo reviews, which are expected to start in early May, construction could start by late summer.
